TOP TIPS TO LEARN ENGLISH IN LESS THAN A YEAR!

English is the third most common native language in the world; very popular for business and professional scenarios. Having studied abroad has taught me that people can learn the language in less than a year, or at least be fluent when they are commited to master it.

1- DON'T ALIENATE YOURSELF

When we are abroad it is normal to miss family and friends however it is also an excellent opportunity to meet new people, totally different from what we are use to. Don't become a lonely person or isolate yourself. Be nice and friendly and willing to take advantages of the opportunities the new country has to offer.

2- BE OPEN!

One of the best things from being abroad is meeting people with different backgrounds.  Having friends from other countries will make you to communicate and think in english, so if you are starting an english course or are new in the country, be open to other cultures and use your english as much as you can.

As important as tip 3, reading is essential to expand you vocabulary, a dictionary is good but there are other options like reading a magazine or your favourite book in english to improve the language drastically. Spending 15 minutes per day reading in english it is essential to learn faster.

5- INTEGRATE INTO THE NEW SOCIETY

This might take time but it is easier than you think when you apply tip number 1 and 2. Integration means to understand that the new country is different from where you come and therefore it has its own rules and manners, its own sense of humour and traditions. Respect the fact that we are all different and that you have choosen the new country so it is your task to integrate and follow its rules.
